§ 83-1-2. Motorboats; construction of definitions within meaning of Section 83-1-1.

(a)

The following terms, whenever used in Section 83-1-1 shall have the meanings respectively set forth:

(1)

Boat shall mean any and all boats, crafts, vessels or devices for use on or in the water.

(2)

Internal waters of the County shall mean any creek, stream, river, pond, lake or other body of water open for public use which lies in part or in whole within the County, and which is not subject to the ebb and flow of the tide.

(3)

Motor shall mean any type of internal-combustion machinery which is used as the sole or auxiliary motive power for a boat and includes, but is not limited to, inboard engines, outboard motors and jet drive motors. (11-6-61, § 1; 1961 Code, § 17-3.2.)
