§ 66-5-1. Prerequisites to obtaining a permit.

  • Pursuant to the Code of Virginia, any person applying for a permit is required to furnish the Building Official prior to the issuance of the permit either satisfactory proof that he is duly licensed or certified as a Virginia Class A, B, or C contractor, or evidence that he is not subject to licensure as a contractor. Individuals exempt from licensure who engage in work as an electrical tradesman must provide evidence of a valid tradesman license issued pursuant to the Code of Virginia, as amended. The applicant shall also furnish satisfactory proof that the taxes or license fees required by Fairfax County have been paid. (16-95-66; 19-98-66.)
