§ 3-7-10. Membership; term of office; election of officers.

(a)

The Board of Trustees of the System shall consist of the following members:

•

Director of the Department of Finance, who shall be the Treasurer of the Board, or his or her permanent designee, sitting ex officio;

•

Three persons appointed by the Board of Supervisors;

•

Two persons currently employed by the Fairfax County Police Department as sworn police officers elected by the members of the System currently employed by the Fairfax County Police Department as sworn police officers; and

•

One person who is retired from employment as a sworn police officer of Fairfax County elected by the retired members of the System.

(b)

With the exception of the Director of the Department of Finance, the term of office of trustees shall be four years. (20-81-3; 10-01-3; 4-16-3.)
