Upon ordinary disability retirement, as provided for in Section 3-3-34, a member shall receive an annual retirement allowance, payable monthly during his
or her lifetime and continued disability, consisting of an amount equal to two percent
of his or her average final compensation multiplied by the number of years of creditable
service. However, said retirement allowance shall not be greater than 60 percent of
