§ 25-1-3. Amount of license tax on carnivals.

  • (a)

    The County license tax on carnivals shall be Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per day or One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per week. For the purpose of this Section, a carnival shall be taken to mean an aggregation of shows, amusements, concessions, eating places and riding devices or any of them, operated together on one (1) parcel of ground or street or on contiguous parcels of ground or streets, moving from place to place, whether the same are owned and actually operated by separate persons or not.

    (b)

    For carnivals operating under a special use permit as provided for in the Zoning Chapter of this Code, the County license tax shall be Ten Dollars ($10.00) per day or Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) per week.
