§ 121-1-2. Cleaning or removal of defacement by the owner or by the County.

  • Pursuant to Virginia Code § 15.2-908, if any public building, wall, fence, or other structure or any private building, wall, fence, or other structure has been defaced, and if the defacement on that property is visible from any public right-of-way, then the County Executive or the designee of the County Executive is authorized to give notice to the owner of the property to remove or repair the defacement within 15 days. If the owner does not remove, clean, or cover such defacement after the 15-day notice period, then the designee of the County Executive is hereby authorized to provide for the cleaning, removal, or covering of any such defacement by agents and employees of the County at the expense of the County.
