§ 110-3-6. Removal of inoperative motor vehicles, trailers, or semitrailers.

  • Whenever any person, firm or corporation fails to comply with a written notice of violation issued in accordance with Section 110-3-3, then the Chief of Police or the Impoundment Officer may direct the removal of any inoperative motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer from the subject property after obtaining any necessary warrants as may be required by law. Such removal may be accomplished with the assistance of the Fairfax County Police Department, the Impoundment Officer and any other agent or contractor designated by the Chief of Police or hired by the County for such purposes.

    No action may be taken to remove any inoperative motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer until after the time for compliance or appeal under Section 110-3-3 and Section 110-3-5 has elapsed, or until after such appeal has been heard. (20-85-110.)
