§ 103-6-3. Sulfur oxides (sulfur dioxide).

  • (a)

    Primary ambient air quality standards are:

    (1)

    Eighty (80) micrograms per cubic meter (0.03 ppm)—annual arithmetic mean.

    (2)

    Three hundred sixty-five (365) micrograms per cubic meter (0.14 ppm)—maximum twenty-four (24) hour concentration not to be exceeded more than once per year.

    (b)

    Secondary ambient air quality standard is thirteen hundred (1,300) micrograms per cubic meter (0.50 ppm)—maximum three-hour concentration not to be exceeded more than once per year.

    (c)

    Sulfur dioxide shall be measured by the reference method described in Appendix A of 40 CFR Part 50, or other method designated as such, or by an equivalent method.
